When a client schedules an appointment for either a The
Good Listener Professional Listening or a The Good Listener Life
Coaching Session, the client acknowledges and agrees to all the following
"Guidelines & Terms of Service Site Usage":
1. You are the person requesting listening and/or life
coaching services for yourself and furthermore, you confirm that you are at
least 18 years of age.
** We do offer our services to minors provided prior consent
has been granted by the minor's parent or legal guardian. Please contact The
Good Listener for further explanation of this policy if needed.
2. You understand The Good Listener is NOT a
counselor, therapist, or psychologist and does not offer any type of medical
diagnosis, therapy, nor pharmaceutical treatments of any kind. Furthermore, you
understand none of The Good Listener sessions are intended to serve as a
substitute for necessary medical, mental, nor psychological care.
3. You understand the very first The Good Listener session
is FREE of charge for the listening service and the life coaching service. This
free "get to know each other" session lasts for 30 minutes. The
purpose of this session is for prospective new clients to ask any questions
that have not been answered through the website, get further clarification on
any policies or terms, as well as learn more details about future The Good
Listener listening or life coaching sessions.
4. You understand all The Good Listener listening
and/or life coaching sessions are scheduled in advance using the "Services"
or “Scheduling” web page on The Good Listener Platform.
5. You understand all The Good Listener listening
and/or life coaching appointments are pre-paid prior to starting any session.
For your convenience, the The Good Listener Platform has the ability
to accept both credit/debit card and "PayPal" account payments using
the PayPal payment system.
In addition to the payment types listed above, The Good
Listener also accepts "Cash App", "Venmo", and
"Zelle" payment methods. Unfortunately, the online scheduling/payment
platform does not support these payment options so the client must
contact The Good Listener directly in order to schedule and pay for
listening and/or life coaching sessions when using these payment types.
Please note, if a client purchases a block of sessions at a
discount price, someone from The Good Listener will reach out to them for
scheduling the future listening and/or life coaching sessions.
6. You understand that The Good Listener will send
out a generic appointment reminder email or text message 24 to 48 hours prior
to the scheduled appointment start time. The reminder method of contact will be
prearranged with the client prior to initial scheduling. The reminder will be
generic in form and contain only the date and time of the appointment.
7. You understand that should you need to reschedule
any The Good Listener appointment, you may do so free of charge
through The Good Listener Platform, by email, by text message, or by
calling our office directly. The choice of contact method is up to you.
8. You understand that should it be necessary to make
any The Good Listener appointment cancelations, the client may do so free
of charge through The Good Listener Platform, by email, by text message,
or by calling our office directly. Furthermore, the client understands this
rescheduling option is offered in lieu of a monetary refund for any services
offered to the client.
9. You understand that any The Good Listener listening
or life coaching sessions that do not begin within 10 minutes of the scheduled
appointment time will be considered "missed" sessions. Any
"missed" sessions cannot be rescheduled nor will a monetary refund be
issued regardless of the reason for missing the session.
10. You understand that to protect your privacy, The Good
Listener will only vaguely communicate to a client's inquiries that are
initiated through any public social media platform (i.e. Facebook, Instagram,
LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Furthermore, you understand any and all personal
questions pertaining to The Good Listener listening or life coaching
services and sessions will be handled only through email, telephone, or text
messaging.
11. You understand The Good Listener listening or life
coaching session rates are subject to change as needed in response to
inflationary issues. Please note, any pre-paid The Good Listener listening
or life coaching sessions will be honored at the "original rate" in
the event of a necessary rate increase.
12. You understand that both The Good Listener
"Conditions &Terms Of Service Usage" and the "Privacy
Policy" are subject to change. While The Good Listener will
strive to maintain constant communication regarding our services offered,
clients are still encouraged to periodically reread both of these documents for
any changes, deletions, or updates.
The Good Listener does not have any sort of professional
license to practice clinical therapy. Any services procured from The Good
Listener should be done so with that knowledge in mind. The Good
Listener is just a service for hiring a professional to listen to you
through scheduled sessions and/or provide advice and direction in life coaching
areas.
